just bought the 89 ford mustang and i am planning to make some modifications to make it a street/strip car. I have heard that when racing your car at a drag strip it is a must to have a fuel pressure gauge so then when ur pressure drops you notice and get out of it. So, how hard is it to put a fuel pressure gauge on. Also i am an unskilled person with a will to learn so should i do this myself or take it in?

Fuel pressure guage is important when you have a boosted car. In a stock mustang its not really necessary. They sell some guages that connect to the fuel rail but obviously u cannot read that inside the car. For in car just buy an electronic autometer guage and follow the instructions to install. But u really dont need it (unless u have a turbo or supercharger)
